I think falling in love should come with a warning label: CAUTION - side effects may include breaking up, accompanied by heartache, severe mood swings, withdrawal from people and life itself, wasted hours obsessing over bitter reflections, a need to destroy something (preferably something expensive that shatters), uncontrollable tear ducts, stress, a loss of appetite, a bleak and narrow outlook on the future, and an overall hatred of everyone and everything (especially all the happy couples you seen strolling hand-in-hand, placed on your path only to exacerbate your isolation and misery). All above reactions will be intensified with the consumption of one or more alcoholic beverages.

this show had me on edge. it made me angry. it made me cry. this is one of the most powerful dramas i’ve watched. it was raw.. it was real. it was emotional. i don’t want to give anything away, because i want everyone to watch this drama!! i didn’t think matsumoto jun could play such a serious role. he’s an amazing actor who deserves attention with this drama!!

i cried so much during this drama!! was it worth it? yes. however, not everything went as i wanted it to. perhaps it was too korean for my western head to grasp.. if ha na grew up in america, would she have known about the korean taboo about their relationship? and, moreover, why couldn’t both couples marry in another country? but, more than that, i wish it would have been more neatly tied up in the end!!

i was 100% in love with the 70s couple. hye jung created her own sadness, she didn’t just get things thrown at her like she accuses. and although i can speculate as to why she became nicer to ha na, it would have been better to show it in some of the “flashbacks,” because honestly, they wasted a bit of time with them in the last episode. i would have liked to see hwang in sook again. she was a cute character :) i think sun ho was more attractive than his father was (played by same guy). and, i think it’s a shame they didn’t show what happened to him!! he was my favorite character. i really hope he found his own happiness. what was going on with seo joon’s hair?! a different style would have been better. i feel like they wanted coherency with the 70s couple near the end, as their hair grew longer, like their parents in the 70s. and did jo soo, the cute assistant, ever make it as a photographer? i think it would have been cute if he or that nephew of chang mo’s ended up with miho :) and my last words on this: in ha’s voice was VERY attractive.

great drama. sad it’s over.
